January 21, 2002: Gonzales and Addington Agree All Detainees Should Be Eligible for Trial by Military Commission

White House lawyers Alberto Gonzales and David Addington visit Guantanamo Bay. On the flight back, Gonzales agrees with Addington that all Guantanamo detainees should be designated eligible for trial by military commission under the president’s November 13 Military Order (see January 20, 2002).
